Huge traffic jams were observed in Kyiv on Wednesday morning. Google Maps data clearly shows that the traffic is severely slowed down across bridges.

Most of the jams are observed on bridges over Dnipro river (towards the right bank) and a few other locations, including Naberehzne highway, Havansky bridge, Bandery Avenue and Peremohy Avenue.

Kyiv underground was shut down for quarantine on late March 17. At the same time, city hall claimed that no passengers will be allowed on board of public transport on Kyiv, unless they wear respiratory protection masks.

As we reported earlier, local authorities in Zhytomyr region (nortern Ukraine) could suspend the traffic of public transport if the Chinese coronavirus keeps spreading further. "As for the public transport... Neither drivers, nor passengers care about maximum 20 people getting on one bus. The overwhelming majority of people who currently stay on bus stops do not wear masks, nor do the drivers. It's the last morning when the public transport works in the usual mode. Tomorrow (March 19, - 112 International), the number of public transport will be reduced, Zhytomyr regional administration reports. This is done so as to cut the expenses", the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV correspondent reported from Zhytomyr.
