Kyiv reports 168 new Covid-19 cases over last 24hrs

A total of 17,429 confirmed cases of the infection have been confirmed in Ukraine’s capital since the beginning of the pandemic

On September 13, 168 new cases of the coronavirus infection were observed in Kyiv. The city's major Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

It is also reported that three people died of the infection yesterday. 272 people have died from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. To date, 17,429 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the city.

27 patients were taken to medical institutions of Ukraine's capital. Others are сurrently at home in self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.

45 people have recovered over the last 24 hours. In total, 5,326 residents of the capital managed to overcome the disease.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's mortality rate from the coronavirus infection has decreased by 30%.

“Concerning the mortality, we have one of the smallest in the world. We can be proud of our doctors who lead to such results,” the Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated.

The old people or people with coexistent diseases come through an illness more severe. According to the statistics, in 90% of cases, people over 50-years-old died from the coronavirus in Ukraine.
