In Kyiv, in the parking lot of Arkadia shopping mall, law enforcement officers noticed a car in which they found the explosives prepared for use. This was reported in the press service of the Kyiv police.

"Employees of the special police regiment noticed a suspicious car Volkswagen, in the cabin of which were two people. During the inspection of the vehicle, the police found a backpack in the trunk, in which there were five briquettes of plastid weighing 6.5 kg and 10 electric detonators. In this case, the explosives were prepared for use," said in a statement.

The department added that, on the orders of the head of Kyiv police, Andriy Kryshchenko, all patrols (both pedestrian and automobile) are working with increased readiness.

"They (policemen) will patrol subway stations and places of mass stay of people, 200 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine are also involved," the report said.

According to the information of the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko, this group was preparing to commit a terrorist act in the Ukrainian capital.
