In Kyiv, the law enforcers opened a criminal proceeding due to the anti-Semitic inscriptions found out near the Office of the President of Ukraine as Kyiv National Police reported.

“Kyiv Police received the official letter of the executive director of the United Jewish community of Ukraine. He reported that yesterday, on October 14, near the building of the Office of the President of Ukraine in Kyiv, unknown unfurled a banner with anti-Semitic statements,” the message said.

Due to this fact, law enforcers opened the criminal proceeding due to the violation of the equality of citizens depending on their racial, national belonging, religious belief, disability or other signs. The police establish all people involved in the offense.

On October 14, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Defender of Ukraine. It is the day for honoring courage and heroism of the defenders of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is a holiday since 2015. Moreover, the holiday coincides with the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and the Holy Protection.
