A priest of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra tried to move the undeclared money to Russia. As the churchman took a passenger train from Kyiv to Moscow, he carried 52,700 U.S. dollars with him. The official website of the judicial power of Ukraine reported that on Thursday.

'As a passenger of Kyiv-Moscow train, the serviceman of the Kyiv's temple moved undeclared values over the customs border of Ukraine', the message says.

It is noted that the court found the man guilty of a violation of the administrative law of Ukraine. The money was seized, and the priest is to pay fine in the amount of the same sum - 52,700 U.S. dollars.

Neither the perpetrator nor the lawyers agreed with the court's decision. They filed the appeal, pointing out that the churchman was not going to conceal any of the money, which turned out to be the offers of churchgoers.
