“I want to underline: if the incidence rate reaches 24 infected per 100,000 people, Kyiv would be forced to return some of the restrictions. Today, this rate makes 16 people per 100,000 people. The restoration of the restrictions will concern first of all the crowded areas, work of large shops and shopping malls, markets, kindergartens and other establishments with a high possibility of infection,” Klitschko said.
The city head also urged law enforcers to control more strictly the observation of the quarantine restrictions and safety by organizations, enterprises and citizens.
“Because many people do not observe even simple rules: they do not wear masks, do not keep the distance, they ignore the threat. And then they will ask: what you have done to prevent the deterioration of the situation,” the mayor underlined.
As we reported, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been recorded in Kyiv over the past 24 hours: 95 Kyivans fell ill. This is a new anti-record in terms of incidence.
