Kyiv Metro: none of stations flooded

Pedestrian subways and streets are flooded. Public transport works with disruptions

Kyiv Metro claimed that none of the stations were flooded as a result of the downpours, as UNN reports the claim of the Kyiv Metro press office.

‘No, there is no flooded station. The subway works as usual,’ the press office claimed.

Although, the users of social networks claim that there is a puddle on the floor at Dorohozhychi station.

Reportedly, there was heavy rain with thunder and hail in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Also, due to the inclement weather conditions, a bridge partially collapsed on the corner of Kyrylivska and Telihy streets.

Traffic of high-speed tram is suspended because of the storm. The other types of the public transport are continuing their operation without following the schedule.

Kyiv City State Administration Emergency Control dispatched water pumps to Dorohozhychi area and Dehtiarivska Street due to the flood of the streets after the rain.

Reportedly, a heavy rain, thunderstorm, and hail were in Kyiv on Wednesday. Some of the streets turned to ‘river’ and caused traffic jams downtown. Users of social networks are sharing their impressions on happenings. The drivers are recommended to not travel by own cars.
