Kyiv medical facilities get 39 ambulances with artificial lung ventilation apparatuses

In Kyiv, medical facilities got 39 new ambulances with artificial lung ventilation apparatuses as 112 Ukraine reported citing Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko.

“There are 200 artificial lung ventilation apparatuses in Kyiv, including 133 apparatuses in the infectious units, basic hospitals. We ordered more artificial lung ventilation apparatuses and consider that we will get some apparatuses, a few dozens, the next week,” Klitschko said.

There are also two express-laboratories in Kyiv, which allow to receive the results of the tests for coronavirus in 30-40 minutes.

“Totally, 230 express-tests for Kyiv citizens were held last week. The tests are taken only on the recommendation of the doctor and only at the medical facilities. Two express-laboratories are for diagnosis of the coronavirus, they were purchased to set them at the airports Boryspil and Zhuliany. These laboratories currently set at hospital #9 and Oleksandrivsky hospital. These express-laboratories provide the possibility to hold tests during 30-40 minutes with the probability 97-99%,” Klitschko said.

He added that during the next two weeks, Kyiv will get another ten express-laboratories.

As we reported, Ukraine has reached the second level of transmission of coronavirus infection - domestic.

Besides, another case of coronavirus infection was observed in the Kyiv region.
