Kyiv mayor reports 267 cases of Covid-19 in Ukraine’s capital

As of April 6, in Kyiv, the number of people, infected with a coronavirus has increased. Overall, there are 267 confirmed cases in the capital. The mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, stated this during an online briefing that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Over the past 24 hours, another 22 Kyiv residents have been infected with the coronavirus. Today, there are 267 confirmed cases of COVID-19 disease in the capital," Klitschko said.

Speaking on the new cases: five women (aged 29 to 71 years) and 16 men (aged 24 to 82 years). In particular, two doctors. An 8-year-old boy also became ill. Four cases of the disease were observed in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

According to the mayor of Kyiv, nine patients were hospitalized in metropolitan hospitals, 13 were self-isolated at home and treated under the supervision of doctors.

As we reported earlier, as of now, there are 1,319 cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine. 

The largest number of cases is observed in Kyiv (234), Chernivtsi region (220), Ternopil region (160), Ivano-Frankivsk region (116).
