The overall number of coronavirus cases in Ukraine’s capital has increased to 2,359. This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko during an online press conference. The broadcast was provided by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"For the last day, 38 Kyiv residents, including eight doctors, have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Three people have died of coronavirus over the past 24 hours. To date, 2,359 confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Kyiv,” Klitschko stated.
Eight patients were hospitalized, others were treated in self-isolation under the supervision of doctors.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers plans to introduce adaptive quarantine starting from May 22: it will be mitigated in stages.
“Starting from May 22, we offer – the so-called adaptive quarantine will be imposed, respectively, by the government. What is it? To make it more controlled and clear, we introduce mitigation stages. Each stage will take 10 days and it will start from May 22,” Ukraine's Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
