“We constantly mitigate the restrictions. We observe how the virus will spread in this situation. The most important is that the mitigations should not lead to a new wave of incidence. If the number of infected with coronavirus grows we have the algorithm for actions. Kyiv determined the conditions under which the city will be obliged to return to lockdown,” the mayor said.
Thus, there are conditions for a return to quarantine:
- If the total number of new Covid-19 cases will make over 24 persons per 100,000 of the population in seven days;
- If the overload of the beds in the hospitals provided for the patients with Covid-19 will make over 75%.
As of 09:00 a.m. on May 28, 22,382 laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Ukraine: 669 of them were fatal and 8,439 patients successfully recovered. 477 new cases have been observed over the last 24 hours.
Besides, 2,793 confirmed Covid-19 cases observed in Kyiv. 506 people recovered from coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic. 54 new cases of infection with Covid-19 were registered in the capital during the past 24 hours.
