In Kyiv, the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus has increased by 24 over the past 24 hours. In total, there are 1,675 confirmed cases of the disease in the capital of Ukraine. This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko during an online press conference. The broadcast was provided by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"The number of Kyiv residents who have been diagnosed with coronavirus has increased by 24 people over the past 24 hours. Among them are five doctors. Unfortunately, one case is fatal. Today there are 1,675 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the capital. 29 people have died from this disease,” Klitschko told.
He also added that the number of cases that had been confirmed during the previous week was "wavy"
“It decreases and then increases. So, the threat did not take a step back. And we cannot relax! I pretty much hope that there will be no surge and we will be able to introduce the first stage of restrictions easing,” Kyiv mayor emphasized.
As we reported earlier, there are 13,691 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine.
