Kyiv authorities are awaiting about 20 thousand guests at the Eurovision-2017 and about 1.3 million tourists during the whole 2017. This was stated by deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Olexiy Reznikov at a briefing on Tuesday, reports Interfax.
"We expect about 1.3 million tourists in the next year," said Reznikov.
According to him, Kyiv authorities are awaiting the arrival of about 20 thousand people during the two weeks of the hosting the Song Contest.
He said that preparations for the Eurovision continue. In particular, this week the city's management is planning to go to the main place where the competition will be held, and at the end of the week will be a meeting of city organizing committee on preparation for Eurovision.
Reznikov said that the International Exhibition Center near the Livoberezhna metro station is confirmed as an arena of competition. There, according to the deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration, the press center will be designed for 1.5 thousand journalists.
"There will be no official events and activities of Eurovision 2017 in the territory of the Sofia National Sanctuary", he added.
