The Commemoration Day of all Ukrainian soldiers who participated in wars in other countries and who perished there will be held in Kyiv on February 14. Thematic exhibitions and different educational events will be held during the next month. The State Administration of Kyiv reported this.
Meetings with servicemen and the families of those who did not return from Afghanistan, flower layings, the burial services and other events will take place.
On February, 5 there will be held a photo exhibition in honor of the Commemoration Day of all participants of hostilities in foreign countries. The central hall of Kyiv City Administration will be hosting it.
On February 14, a meeting will take place, with soldiers and with the families of those who participated in the Afghanistan war. The event will take place on the Lavrskaya 17 Street. The memorial service for the fallen soldiers will take place in the Church of Christ's Resurrection. On this very day the meeting of the fellow brothers as well as the visit to the exposition "On the alien wars" are planned.
On February 15, the ceremony of laying flowers to the Ukrainian Memorial of the deceased in Afghanistan servicemen will take place.
The thematic photo exhibition will last from February, 11 till February, 22 in the National Historic and Architectural Museum “Kyiv Fortress”.
The exhibition of the archived documents will last from February 14 till February 28.
Also there will be educational events in honor of the Commemoration Day of all participants of hostilities on the other countries’ territories in many central city libraries. Besides, the competition of children's drawings, posters, creative projects, patriotic actions, and other events will take place during this month. Such events will be held around all regions of the Ukrainian capital. On every event there will be a medical brigade and police officers.
