Kyiv Color Run 2019 takes place in Ukraine's capital

June 2, the sixth Kyiv Color Run 2019 took place at Troitska Square in Kyiv. This is reported by Ukrinform.

It is noted that about 3,000 people took part in the race, 2 tons of paint were used. Participants could choose between two distances - 3 and 6 km.

Each participant before the start received a special white T-shirt, a starting number and a package of Indian paint in the lobby. After the race, participants received Color Run Creative awards in the nominations for the best costume, the largest team,” the message said.

Color Run was founded in Ukraine in 2014 by the team of KM Running Club.
Earlier, the 27th charity "Chestnut Run" was held in the capital. City mayor Vitaliy Klitschko started the race, he also took part in the run.

In total, there were seven kinds of race in the program: a run in walkers, a children's run, a sports run, a courageous run, a blind run, a run with a dog, and a charity run.

The youngest participant of the race was a two-month-old girl (her parents ran with her), and the oldest was a 78-year-old man.

In total, according to the ministry, more than 18,000 people took part in the event.

Funds collected from the participants of the blind run and run with the dog will be used to support children who are treated at the Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy, as well as the Happy Paw Foundation for the purchase of necessary materials to an animal shelter.
