At a glider meeting of the Kyiv city council, deputies approved a land management project to change the boundaries of the city of Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the city council.
"According to the Department of Land Resources, the boundaries of the city of Kyiv have not changed from 1989 until now. Moreover, over the past 28 years there have been no documents on the configuration of the city’s borders. This made it impossible to develop a project to change them," the statement said.
According to reports, in September 2019, official data were found on the establishment and fixing of the boundaries of the city of Kyiv with boundary marks. The work was carried out by the Ukrainian State Institute of Engineering and Geodetic Surveys and Filming "UkrGIIGis" in 1989-1990.
In accordance with the decision of the deputies, the territory of Kyiv may increase by 2 thousand 771 hectares due to the lands of the region. At the same time, the city should transfer 55.4 hectares from the lands of the Kyiv city council to the lands of the Kyiv region. Based on these data, we developed a project to change the boundaries of the city of Kyiv, which plans to increase the territory of the city from 82 thousand 635 hectares to 85 thousand 351 hectares.
