Kyiv citizens cannot use public transport without medical face masks

From March 18, it will be forbidden to use public transport without personal protective equipment

Starting from March 18, 2020, the passengers will be able to use public transport only wearing the facial masks as Deputy Mayor of Kyiv Mykola Povoroznyk stated.

“The passengers who will not have the medical masks will not be admitted for the transfer in the public transfers,” he said.

The official also reminded that the decision was already made to ban the transfer of more than 10 passengers simultaneously in one vehicle, personal or public. The sanitary service and the National Police will control it.

Mykola Povoroznyk noted that Kyivpastrans and private carriers will work in the usual mode; the number of buses will not be increased.

Concerning the workers of the enterprises, who have to work in the emergency mode (defense and food production, water and wastewater treatment plant, heating energy enterprises), the special vehicles will be allocated for such workers with the observation of all norms of the sanitary and epidemic security.

As we reported, Ukraine will temporarily suspend the operation of the subway in the number of Ukrainian cities from March 18.
