During the past 24 hours, 147 people have got infected with coronavirus; it is the highest rate during the whole period of the pandemic. One person died, as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

“The number of Kyiv citizens diagnosed with the coronavirus increased by 147 people. It is the largest amount during the whole period of the pandemic. One person died. As for today, there are 6,497 confirmed cases of Covid-19 infection,” Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

Thus, 66 women at the age of 18 up to 71 and five years at the age of a year up to 16 and 73 women at the age of 18 up to 85 and three boys at the age of two up to six years. Six medics are among the diseased.

29 people were hospitalized; while others stay in self-isolation.

“The majority of the cases were observed in Shevchenkivsky district – 27, Darnytsia – 22, Desnyansky – 21 cases,” Klitschko said.

36 people recovered during the past 24 hours. Totally, 2,160 Kyiv citizens overcame the virus.

As of early July 15, 55,607 cases of coronavirus were observed in Ukraine. 836 new cases were confirmed over the last 24 hours, reads the report by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council. 1,427 Ukrainians passed away from the disease since the epidemic reached Ukraine. 28,131 managed to recover. Meanwhile, the worldwide number of infected made 13,323,206. 578,625 people died, and 7,399,420 recovered.
