The beaches in Kyiv are open only as coastal recreation areas and swimming is banned there as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.
“Today, it is banned to swim at the city beaches – until the State public consumption service of the city provides the permission for it,” the mayor said.
Klitschko appealed to Kyiv citizens with a request to abide by the safety rules at the beaches. People from the risk groups are not recommended to visit the beaches. Others should observe the distance, clean their hands with disinfectors. The city organizes the disinfection of the public beaches twice a day.
As we reported, Ukraine's capital city Kyiv and another 10 regions of the country are not ready for weakening of quarantine measures, as the current Covid-19 incidence in these areas still exceeds the allowable rate.
