Kyiv City State Administration is developing a plan of special events so that the underground in Kyiv resumes its work, but with some restrictions. Secretary of the City Council Volodymyr Prokopiv stated this, reports CTS.
"An idle metro is a huge problem for the city. But the Kyiv authorities must comply with the Cabinet of Ministers. Together with our colleagues, we are developing a plan of special measures so that the metro will work, but with some restrictions," - Prokopiv said.
According to him, the subway should serve people working in strategic enterprises that ensure the life of the city.
“There is another problem in the capital: about half of the Kiev hospital’s nurses and nurses reach work from neighboring regions and are critically needed in their workplaces. Therefore, we are also developing a program for Kyivpastrans so that the city can provide transportation for these people to work," - the secretary of the city council added.
As part of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, the Ukrainian government decided to introduce restrictions on the number of passengers who are allowed to use the public transport at the same time. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Krykliy.
