The schematic design of the building of the Memorial Complex to Holodomor Victims was presented at the Department of City Planning and Architecture of the Kyiv State City Administration. The press service of the administration reported this citing the Deputy of the Chairman of the Kyiv State City Administration Oleksandr Spasybko.

‘The building of the Memorial Complex was expected over two phases. The first memorial phase was implemented in 2008. And there is no museum phase of the project. Today, we hold the consultative meetings of the adjustment of the schematic design’, Spasybko emphasized.

The members of the architecture and the city planning council unanimously supported the presented schematic design of the Memorial in the result of the discussions. The project was considered and recommended for the further work out with the proper recommendations.  

The building of the National museum will consist of two parts: the museum of Holodomor and the exhibition center. The complex will provide the maximally full-length information about this tragic part of the history of our state.

The museum will be built according to the modern canons. It is planned that it will be situated in the underground part of the Hall of Memory and the visitors will get there using the stairs.
