Ukrainian construction worker dies as a result of landslide in Poland

In Poland’s Krakow 45-year-old Ukrainian died as a result of the landslide and wall collapse on the slope, he was performing renovation works of the walls of the Wawel Royal Castle, as Gazeta Krakowska reports.

According to the report, the rescue services immediately arrived at the place of emergency and took the worker from the rubble. The doctors have been trying to reanimate the man for an hour. The incident occurred on March 16.

The state labor inspectorate and the Construction supervision service of Poland were informed about the emergency.

According to the report, construction works near Wawel were conducted in compliance with all safety standards under the supervision of the control bodies, all workers were sober. However, the landslide and the further collapse of the wall could not have been avoided and foreseen.

Earlier, representative of the Department of Internal Affairs in Moscow metro Aleksey Myshliaiev claimed that a Ukrainian citizen died on Tverskaya station of Moscow metro. 

Myshliaiev told that the 39-year-old Ukrainian died because of carelessness.
