Journalists and representatives of Ukraine’s 1+1 TV Channel, belonging to Ihor Kolomoisky, have published an open letter to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
They state about the threat of shutting down the TV channel due to the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting has not yet revoked the channel’s license to broadcast, which expires today.
The letter also says that two weeks ago, December 15, the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting unanimously voted for the renewal and extension of the channel’s license. During consideration of the application, which lasted for six months, no official complaints were addressed to the channel, reports UNIAN, the 1+1 media group news agency.

The representatives of the channel state that the process of the execution of a decision is being delayed by the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting.
They also state that the channel has already paid the license fee.
The letter is sighed by 1+1 Media General Director Oleksandr Tkachenko, the Director of the Department of Information Broadcasting S.Popov, the Director of the Investigative Journalism Department M. Shilenko, TSN Week anchor A. Mazur, TSN anchor N. Moseychuk, TSN anchor L. Taran, 1+1 anchor, Honored Artist of Ukraine Yuriy Horbunov, the Head of Kvartal-95 Studio Volodymyr Zelensky.
As it was reported earlier the Ukrainian government acquired 100 percent of the shares of PrivatBank, the biggest Ukrainian bank, according to the late Sunday announcement on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
