Kniazhychi shootout: Involved in tragedy are not suspended from duty

Police officers involved in a deadly shootout in Kniazhychi are still not suspended from duty. National Police Head Vadym Troyan said this at a meeting of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada, which was broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

People’s Deputy Vitaliy Kupriy asked the Head of the National Police if there are any former State Service protection officers among the suspended law enforcement officers (20 employees and five managers). Troyan said: "I have not yet received this decision."

When asked about suspension of these employees Acting National Police Head answered: "They are not suspended yet."

Troyan said that "they are not removed, as I heard them just now, and determined their actions and whether there were errors in their work."
