The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, called on law enforcement officers to join efforts with activists and the city council in order to quickly respond to appeals related to illegal construction projects. He stated this during a briefing, which was broadcast on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We need to intensify the work of the commission on the problems of illegal buildings. This week, I was with the police at one of these sites - Yaroslaviv Val, the historical center of the city. The local developer completely lost his mind. According to the documents, there should be an emergency strengthening of the house; instead, a new building was erected, with five floors underground," Vitaliy Klitschko said.

The mayor of Kyiv added that the Arkada developer continues to ignore the interests of investors who have invested in housing construction. The developer did not submit for consideration by the town-planning council the adjusted draft of the Patriotika on Ozory housing estate, which envisages the construction of schools, kindergartens and a hospital. At the same time, the developer suspended work at other complexes.
