Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that the Crimea has become a gray area, stained with lawlessness, terror and repression. He announced this at the UN conference in Geneva.
"10 thousand people were killed and more than 22 thousand injured in Donbas, and Crimea became a gray zone, stained with lawlessness, terror and repression. The occupation authorities systematically violate human rights, trying to destroy the national identity of the Ukrainians and the local population of the peninsula - the Crimean Tatars", the Minister said.
Note that the Conference on the situation in the Crimea in the Geneva. It was initiated by Ukraine in the framework of the thirty-fourth session of the UN Council on Human Rights. It is co-chaired by Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of the international community on the situation of human rights in the Crimea and intensify outreach to counter Russian aggression.
