The mayor of Kharkiv, Hennadiy Kernes suffers problems with kidneys. He has a kidney failure. This was stated by the speaker of the Kharkiv City Council Yuriy Sydorenko.

Kernes is on hemodialysis now.

“Today he has two kidneys that are not working. I don’t know, today or yesterday (the second kidney failed - ed.). He is on hemodialysis. The hospital does not give any predictions about kidney function,” Sydorenko said.

Kernes's son Kyrylo said that he didn't receive such information. He said this, commenting on publications in the media with reference to businessman Pavlo Fuks.

"Probably Pavlo Fuks has some information. I haven't heard about that," Kernes' son said.

Kyrylo also noted that he talked to his father a week ago, then the doctors said that everything would be fine with Hennadiy.

As we reported earlier, Hennadiy Kernes appeared to be sick with coronavirus. Some sources reported that he fell into a coma, but the information was not confirmed.

On September 15, it was reported that due to the deteriorating health of Hennadiy Kernes, his friends and relatives were considering options for transportation to one of the European countries. The initial place for transportation was Vienna, but then Germany became a priority.
