Japan will restrict the entry for foreigners who used to stay on board of Westerdam cruise vessel due to the spread of coronavirus. The ship left Hong Kong, and Japanese Prime Minister fears further spread of the coronavirus, Кyodo news reports.

The ban will take effect on Friday, according to Japan's immigration legal groundwork

On February 1, Japan restricted the entry for the foreign citizens who visited Hubei province in China. The ban also concerns the holders of Chinese passports issued in the central Chinese province.

As we reported earlier, the Diamond Princess cruise ship was placed under quarantine after an 80-year-old passenger who had been diagnosed with the coronavirus left in Hong Kong. 273 people contacted him, and thus passed the test for the disease. Ten of these people appeared to have the virus.
