Japan may train Ukraine’s police

Ukraine and Japan will implement a number of joint projects

Japan is considering the possibility of training for Ukrainian police. It is reported by the press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Also, Ukraine and Japan will implement a number of joint projects.

"This training may be provided for patrol regulation systems, Digital Radio systems, road traffic control center, open type KOBAN system of police stations ", reads the report.

During the meeting Arsen Avakov thanked Mr. Shigeki Sumi for the preparation and organization of meetings with senior officials of the Government of Japan.

"As a result of this visit, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine plans to introduce a number of new projects regarding the National Police of Ukraine", said the Head of the Interior Ministry.

The Ambassador stressed that Japan welcomes the delegation of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry and showed the advanced technologies of the police.

"Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the National Public Safety Commission have received a positive experience during the stay of the Ukrainian delegation to Japan. Tokyo said the Interior Ministry of Ukraine is a reliable partner and will continue to support security sector reform in Ukraine", the Ambassador said.

He also assured that the Japanese side is interested in the continuation of the exchange of experience in the field of road safety and considering the possibility of conducting trainings for representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.
