Police detained in Kyiv head of the Donetsk prison "Isolation" Denys Kulykovsky nicknamed Palych, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) press service reported.

According to the SBU, the man organized and took a direct part in the killings and torture of Ukrainian war prisoners.

At present, procedural actions are being carried out against the former militant. In particular, regarding his delivery to the court to choose a measure of restraint, as well as obtaining additional information about his illegal activities.

The malefactor was detained within the earlier opened criminal proceedings according to 4 articles of the Criminal code of Ukraine: Art. 149 (human trafficking); Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization); Art. 260 (creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided by law); Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war).

According to the information of TSN, Denys Pavlovych Kulykovsky, also known as Palych or Hades, is a native of the Donetsk region who joined the ranks of terrorists of the Donetsk People's Republic after the events of 2014. Approximately in 2015-2018, Palych managed the Isolation Prison, a former art platform in the city of Donetsk, which the militants converted into a concentration camp. Under Kulykovsky's leadership, prisoners were beaten, cut, strangled, drowned, electrocuted and raped.
