In Iraq, police and government troops special forces units regained control of 90% of the territory in the east of Mosul. Police and military control three of the five bridges of the city, according to RBK-Ukraine referring to the Al Sumar TV channel.

The official representative of the Armed Forces of Iraq Joint Command Yahya Rasoul told about the current situation.

"Iraqi forces liberated 85-90% of the territory on the left bank of Tigris River. We continue the operation for stripping and patrolling of areas in the east of Mosul, liberated from Islamic state terrorist groups," he said.

Earlier about 30 civilians were killed during the air strikes on Mosul in Iraq. Air strikes hit the western district of Mosul al-Jadida area, which is controlled by ISIS militants, on Thursday. Local people have seen at least three missiles hit the city.
