Iranian medics identified 169 of 176 victims of PS752 plane crash

Iran's forensics have identified already 169 bodies of those who deceased in Ukraine's Boeing 737 disaster over Tehran. The Iranian organization of legal medicine reported that as quoted by IRNA.

"169 identified bodies belong to the victims whose relatives provided their DNA samples", reads the message.

According to medics, the names of identified persons are made public on www.imo.ir.

Besides, the Iranian organization reported that 150 bodies were handed over to their relatives.

On January 19, the bodies of Ukrainians who died in the Boeing 737 plane crash in Iran were delivered to Ukraine. At the Boryspil airport, they were met by top officials and hundreds of ordinary Ukrainians, including relatives of the victims.

On January 8, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines, flight PS752 with 176 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport. No one of those aboard survived the crash. It appeared that the plane was shot down - by accident. The Iranian AA defense system operator fired an anti-aircraft missile, failing to identify the target as a civilian aircraft and believing it was a hostile object.
