PS 752 plane crash in Tehran

Iran said that the Boeing disaster of Ukraine’s International Airlines was caused by an improper air defense system. TASS reports with reference to the report of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran.

"One of Tehran’s air defense systems has been relocated. This has led to a change in its geographic location and direction," the report said.

It is noted that "after the migration, the reconfiguration was not performed."

The air defense system mistakenly recognized the airliner as an object moving from the south-west towards Tehran, although in reality the plane flew out of the Iranian capital, rather than approaching it.

As we reported before, the International Group for Coordination of Aid for PS752 Victims chose Ukraine to negotiate with Iran in terms of its responsibility for the PS752 plane crash in January 2020.

"Ukraine will be negotiating with Iran on the behalf of International Group for Coordination of Aid for PS752 Victims... The countries will act as a united front, assisting each other as a group of countries that suffered [in this accident]. Ukraine will be the voice of this group", Ukraine's MFA head said.
