The introduction of the weekend quarantine should give a result in two-three weeks, otherwise a total lockdown is possible. This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referring to the statement of the head of the State Consumer Service of Kyiv Oleh Ruban.

"We will see the result in two-three week period. If there is no result, we can say that this measure is  ineffective," Ruban said.

He noted that in this case, a complete lockdown may be introduced in the country.

"The weekend quarantine is one of the steps towards a complete lockdown. If it does not give an effective result, then, indeed, Ukraine need to declare a total lockdown," the head of the Kyiv State Consumer Service believes.

Ruban noted that the weekend quarantine shows different results in different countries.

"In some countries it has a positive effect, in some - negativ, so everything depends on the correct implementation of this measure," he added.
