The international organizations plan to purchase the medical preparations for Ukraine in the total sum of 227 million of dollars. The press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported this.
‘The Ministry of Health signed the agreements with the international organizations that will purchase the medicaments for Ukraine for the budget money of 2017’, the message reported.
The international organizations will purchase the medicaments via 39 state programs in the total sum of 227 million of dollars.
The UN Development Program, the UN Children’s Fund and the British purchase agency Crown Agents will purchase the medicaments for Ukraine.
The Ministry noted that thanks to the international organizations, it began to purchase the quality medicaments, particularly the vaccines prequalified by the WHO
‘The majority of them were not purchased in Ukraine where the monopoly acted. For example, six of eight purchased vaccines of the UN Children’s Fund were not registered in Ukraine earlier. Moreover, some vaccines were purchased cheaper in eight times’, the ministry emphasized.
Also, the Ministry noted that 150 million of dollars were allocated for the medicaments purchase.
The international organizations purchased 96% of the medicaments, vaccines and medical products for budget money via 37 programs in 2016. 44% are supplied to the regions. The rest part will be supplied to the hospitals during three months according to the supply schedule of the Ministry of Healthcare. 35 million of dollars remain at the accounts of the international organizations and the additional medicaments, vaccines and medical products will be purchased for this money.
