The world celebrates the International Day of Happiness today, on March 20.
This holiday was founded by the General Assembly of the United Nations on June 28, 2012. The purpose of the celebration is to support the idea that “happiness is a fundamental goal of every human on the planet”.
The International Day of Happiness Resolution was the result of the effort of United Nations adviser Jayme Illien, who conceptualized the idea for a UN Resolution that would recognize the pursuit of happiness as a human right and a "fundamental human goal."
Earlier it was reported that Saint Patrick's Day was celebrated worldwide on March 17. Catholic Church was celebrating the Feast of Saint Patrick.
