Insurance medicine can earn in Ukraine since 2023. Mykhailo Radutsky, a member of the Servant of the People faction, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on national health, medical care, and medical insurance, stated this in the “Saturday interview” program of Radio Liberty.
At the same time, he emphasized that several conditions must be met for this.
"We are not saying that we will cancel financial guarantees. This is Universal Coverage (universal coverage of patient expenses, guaranteed minimum free medical services). And it should be. All countries fight for it. Insurance will cover what is not included in a guarantee. Firstly, we cannot be mistaken. We must choose the model that we can afford financially and qualitatively in Ukraine," Radutsky stated.
The MP also considers the withdrawal of salaries of Ukrainians from the shadows as a prerequisite for launching insurance medicine.
“We will do everything to ensure that the percentage of black wages is lower and lower every day. And we are considering the possibility of writing a law and choosing a model this year. But we believe that, economically, according to the official salary, we will take the opportunity, so that this law will work somewhere in a year or two - approximately in 2023. This is not a promise. These are our plans," he stressed
As we reported, the international community has launched a 675-million-dollars preparedness and response plan covering the months of February through to April 2020 in order to fight further spread of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak in China and globally.
