The relevant government commission that investigated the An-26 plane crash near Kharkiv named the main causes that caused the death of cadets. This was announced by the chairman of the commission, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky.
"The first dangerous factor which provoked the issue that later led to the plane crash was the failure of the left engine’s temperature control system. It, in turn, caused an emergency situation at 20:36:05," Urusky said.
The main causes of the plane crash were the lack of effective control over the organization of flights by officials of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University and systematic violations of flight rules at the facility.
