24th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition congratulates Ukraine on Independence Day

The Ukrainian Antarctic expedition filmed a video congratulation timed to the Independence Day of Ukraine. The video message was posted by the Ministry of Education and Science on Facebook.

"Independence Day of Ukraine is celebrated even in Antarctica - so get the congratulations from our polar explorers. Happy holiday," the description says.

"The 24th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition congratulates Ukraine on Independence Day. Let us love our Ukraine with all our hearts, in all our thoughts and deeds. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes!", the video message said.

The United States of America also congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day. State Secretary Mike Pompeo stated that on behalf of Donald Trump. 

The U.S. once again expressed its strong support to Ukraine. The USA also believed that the last presidential and parliamentary elections have shown Ukraine's determination to become "prosperous and democratic".

"As President Zelensky noted, by fulfilling its potential, Ukraine can become a model for other countries in the region and beyond.  The United States stands with Ukraine at this moment of historic opportunity", the post reads.

The U.S. government stated they were ready to continue to develop cooperation with Ukraine and help in promoting reforms.

"Best wishes for a joyous Independence Day and a peaceful and prosperous year ahead," wished the representative of the U.S. government.
