Over the last month, Ukrainians registered 27,000 used light-duty vehicles that were brought from abroad. Ukravtoprom company reported that on November 5.
"This is the maximum result [this year], except for the first three months of the year, when owners of cars with EU plates got their vehicles legalized under reduced rates. In comparison with last October, the number of registrations of the imported light-duty second-hand cars has increased by two-three times", the company's press office said.
Volkswagen became the most popular brand among these cars; some 4,400 of them were registered in Ukraine in October 2019. Skoda came second, with 2,400 vehicles registered over this period.
349,000 old light-duty vehicles were registered in Ukraine from January till October 2019. That's four times more than the figure observed in the same period of 2018.
