Imagine Dragons, the famous U.S. rock band comes to Kyiv with a show. This would be the first time they perform in Ukraine.
The show, which is supposed to promote the new album called 'Evolve', is to take place at NSC Olimpiysky arena on August 31. British indie rock group The Vaccines will warm up for the Americans.
In order to maintain public security during the highly anticipated music event, the administration of Kyiv underground will temporarily shut down three adjacent stations, namely Olimpiyska, Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho and Palats Sportu. After 11 p.m., when the show is expected to be over, there may be a limit on entering the said stations.
As we reported earlier, Numbers, the play by Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov will be set on stage in the Ukrainian capital. It will be directed by Sentsov's friend Tamara Trunova, one of the famous Ukrainian theatre directors. The open casting for the performance is to take place in Kyiv on September 3.
All funds raised from ticket sales will go to purchasing a house for Sentsov's family.
