Ukrainian political prisoner Stanislav Klykh, who is now in the Russian Verkhneuralska prison, was transferred to a hospital. This is reported by Mediazona with reference to the lawyer of the convicted Ilya Novikov.

At the same time, the lawyer explained that it is not known in which particular institution Klykh is now. The prisoner was to be visited by local lawyers, but he was not in prison.

"We can not say exactly where he was taken, we can guess that this is a hospital in Chelyabinsk, but there is no fresh information about him there," Novikov said.

"We have every reason to worry for him," the lawyer said.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Russia recognized as legitimate the verdict for Ukrainians Mykola Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, who were sentenced to 22.5 and 20 years imprisonment for alleged participation in hostilities on the side of Chechen rebels in  1990s.

Earlier the mothers of convicted in Russia Ukrainian Stanislav Klykh and detained near Luhansk Russian Viktor Ageev pleaded the presidents of Russia and Ukraine to pardon their sons and release them.
