Customers can order goods on the company's website and then choose how and when they want to get their orders. The purchased goods can be recovered at one of the collection points in Kyiv (shops called Auchan Rive Gauche and Metro). The customers can also request home delivery.
Previously, IKEA said it was going to enter the Ukrainian market in 2019; they wanted to open their first shop in Kyiv in spring 2019. Later, the company's representatives claimed they would re-schedule the launch for spring 2020.
IKEA company focuses on sales of furniture and housekeeping goods. Their products are represented in more than 40 countries worldwide.
IKEA has been trying to make it to the Ukrainian market for over a decade now. The negotiations failed time after time as the sides could not agree on assigning a land parcel for the company's use in this country.
