'I feel ashamed and angry', Chief of National Police comments on death of 5-year-old

Kyrylo Tlyavov was shot dead by drunk police officers in Kyiv region on May 31; the boy's death on June 3 caused protests, with angry crowds demanding to punish the guilty ones

Serhiy Knyazev, the head of the National Police of Ukraine commented on the recent tragedy in Kyiv region, as five-year-old Kyrylo Tlyavov was killed by drunk police officers. He said that during the evening show at 1+1 TV channel.

'I feel ashamed and angry, whenever I see the toys put in front of the offices of the law enforcement agencies. I'm ashamed because five-year-old boy endured an enormous torment before he died. I'm angry because two of these bastards who opened fire were the police workers', he said.

As it was reported, the leadership of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky police department of Kyiv region was suspended from their duties after the death of a five-year-old Kyrylo injured by the police officers.

Reportedly, on May 31, a boy with physical injuries in the form of a severe closed-head injury, brain contusion, internal brain hematoma and a fracture of the temporal bone was delivered to the intensive care unit of the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky hospital. On June 3, Kyrylo died; the doctors could not save his life.

June 5, it appeared that Dmytro Tsenov, the chief of the National Police in Kyiv region was relieved from his duty because of the tragedy. Then, he was appointed the Head of Police in the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas.
