On June 29, Hungary will open all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Peter Szijarto, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs reported that as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
"Next Monday, we'll open all checkpoints between Hungary and Ukraine... And, thus, we'll provide movement across the border. Rules of entering another country will remain, though", Szijarto said.
Minister reiterated that Hungarian citizens will be able to enter Ukraine with no restrictions, while Ukrainians will be able to enter Hungary via transit - or for 24 hours only and no further than 30 kilometers into the country's territory.
Szijarto admitted he could not yet name the date of resumption of air and railway traffic between Ukraine and Hungary.
Several days ago, Hungary resumed passage for passenger buses from Ukraine over the border. Meanwhile, Hungarians return to their homeland freely, without the need to undergo the 14-days-long isolation period.
