Hungary to hand over 8.000 vaccines for measles to Zakarpattia

Representatives of Hungarian government will provide Zakarpattia region with 8.000 vaccines for measles, parotitis, and rubella, which were procured by the Ministry of human resources in the framework of Hungarian national programme on immunization, as representative of the Zakarpattia regional administration Gennadiy Moskal informed.

“Zakarpattia regional organization of the Red Cross of Ukraine will receive the medicine and submit it to the infections department of the regional clinical hospital for vaccinating children,” Moskal said.

As of January 22, there are 2,084 people sick with measles in Ukraine, and the number has been consistently growing since the outbreak of the infection.
