"Adoption of the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine 'On approval of the draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary on mutual recognition of educational documents and degrees' will create legal grounds for further signing of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary and ensuring its practical implementation," the explanatory note said.
Ukrainian certificates of 9th grade completion are equated to Hungarian certificates of primary education (eight classes). They allow to continue education at the next level in Hungary.
Documents on secondary education obtained in Ukraine will allow to study further in vocational schools and universities in Hungary.
"Degrees of bachelors, masters, doctors of philosophy, doctors of sciences are also subjects to mutual recognition. At the same time, recognition of diplomas and scientific degrees does not release from the obligation to comply with state legislation on admission, continuing education or professional activity," the agreement reads.
