The Ivano-Frankivsk region received humanitarian assistance to eliminate the consequences of floods from the government of Sweden. This was reported by the press center of the State Emergency Service.

"To liquidate the consequences of the emergency that occurred in the Ivano-Frankivsk region after the rains and flood, the Carpathian rescuers received humanitarian assistance from the Swedish government," the statement said.

It is noted that the relevant equipment was transferred, namely flood barriers, sand bags, coils, cable ties and fire hoses. It all arrived on July 2 and was unloaded by the rescuers of the State Emergency Situations Office in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Humanitarian aid will be provided for the needs of flood-affected areas - Rogatynsky, Tlumachsky, Nadvirnyansky and Galichsky regions.

Red Cross will provide Ukraine with humanitarian assistance to overcome the effects of flooding in the western regions. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanyshyna stated this, the press service of the government reports.

"This assistance is additional to the one that the government of Ukraine earlier allocated by its decision from the reserve fund in the amount of more than USD 26 million," the statement reads.
