In Halych city, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the district hospital with people infected with Covid-19 was flooded due to the bad weather. The evacuation of the patients is underway as Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmygal reported on Telegram.

“The district hospital in Halych city was flooded; the evacuation of the patients takes place. There are particular difficulties as there are diseased with coronavirus,” the message said.

According to the PM, the situation in the west of the country is critical. In fact, the flood surpasses the scale of the 2008 disaster.

Besides, Shmygal wrote that after the inspection of the mountainous region, he will hold commission on technogeneous and ecology safety and emergency, where the decisions will be made necessary for overcoming the consequences of the environment.

As we reported, floods overwhelm civilian infrastructure in 15 districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. 165 inhabited localities are flooded. Floods damaged 4,596 living houses, six obstetrical points and one automatic station, 8,873 farmlands, 3,000 basements, more than 3,000 hectares of agricultural land. 110 kilometers of roadways and 90 bridges were destroyed. 285 people were evacuated. 1,850 coast defenses were destroyed.
