Homeward motion picture to open Kharkiv Meet Docs festival

Homeward, the film by Ukrainian director Nariman Aliev will open the third edition of Kharkiv Meet Docs film festival. 

Homeward reveals a story about Mustafa, the Crimean Tatar whose sons came to Kyiv after Crimea's annexation by Russia in 2014. When the older son dies, the father comes to Kyiv to get his younger brother back home and bury the dead son according to Muslim tradition.

Ahtem Seitablayev and Remzi Bilyalov played the main parts in this film. 

Homeward was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. It also won the main prize of Bucharest International Film Festival.
